Graduation Messages 

 

 One of the most important times in student’s life is their graduation ceremony.  Wearing the traditional long, black gowns and the mortar board hat are only part of the process when receiving their degree.  With most students being nervous, add a perfect message to a pre-graduation card or congratulation, well done message to a post-graduation greeting. 
 

Popular messages among friends are the comical messages.  “Con-GRAD-ulations” is a regular favorite whilst “To a real class act, you made the grade” is used on a wide variety of graduation cards and whilst humorous, gets the point across on just how good the graduate is.  “Hats off to you – congratulations” is another favorite with the humor theme, being simple and understated at the same time. 

 

  For something more classic, a short verse is generally favored.  Ideal for those sending graduation messages to their younger relatives, try ‘You’ve been educated and are sophisticated, articulated and graduated.  Now take a moment to be congratulated!’  It’s a short, rhyming verse that will bring a smile to any graduate-to-be. 

Poems are an ideal way to add a message to a graduation card.  They don’t have to be long and complex, but a simple verse or two can make all the difference and pass on your best wishes -  

As you close one door,You’re opening the next.

You’ve graduated from University,We’re all proud you’re the best

                                 Life has been good,And it’s about to get great,

 

Good luck for the future,

Go graduate! 

You’ll always be a student,

And that’s the way to be

Climbing life’s long ladder,

Working up the tree. 

You never stop or quit

Which is fantastic - to your success!

And all that’s left to say,

Is congratulations, with all happiness 

The below could be used as an alternative, which is a little more classic –

Instead of traditional written message on a piece of paper or in a card, more and more relatives of graduates are buying engraved gifts for the graduate to keep forever. For example, a reliable watch with a simple engraving of the date of the graduation on can be a memento that will be cherished forever, whilst always remembering the day they graduated. 

Graduations are a massive point in any graduate’s life and the message’s they receive should reflect this.  Ensure it’s well written, appropriate for the graduate and gets across exactly what you would like to say – which in effect, will be massive congratulations!
